PARIMA will hold its latest Risk Lab seminar with Willis Towers Watson (WTW) on 16 September, at the broker’s offices in Singapore. The latest seminar is designed to help risk managers assess and “future-proof” their company’s business risk profile.
The half-day event will be opened by Rob De Jonge, head of international, risk and analytics at WTW. He will be followed by James Wong, partner, Strategic Risk Consulting, who will ask the core question: “How does your organisation measure up in terms of quantifying your risk exposure across the business?”
This will be a hands-on workshop, during which delegates will be given scenarios to work in groups.
The next session is entitled: “Future-proofing your business risk profile: Developing your business risk financial strategy.” This will be hosted by Richard Zhang, managing director, alternative risk transfer (ART) solutions Asia at WTW. He will analyse today’s evolving landscape of risk financing and develop actionable insights on topics such as ART and risk retention.
The final session will focus on dealing with complex claims. Henry Dumas, associate director – head of Asia forensic accounting and complex claims, will stress that claims management and the negotiation of sensitive and complex claims are an integral part of an effective risk management programme.
In this session, he will provide an overview of the processes involved in the settlement of complex claims and share case studies and best practices for a comprehensive claims strategy.
“Organisations across Asia face a rapidly changing set of risks that require innovative approaches to diagnose exposures in real time and [provide] alternative solutions for emerging risks. The Willis Towers Watson – PARIMA Risk Labs are specially curated to educate and raise awareness of the risk ecosystem in Asia, in a practical way that can be easily applied in the workplace,” commented Simon Weaver, head of corporate risk and broking, Asia-Pacific at WTW.PARIMA members are invited to sign up for the Risk Lab at PARIMA
